Bladen We Care
“Bladen We Care” is a community based, not for profit, foundation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to raising and overseeing distribution of funds which will help provide health care for patients in need in Bladen County.
Every year, for 25 plus years, we help sponsor a golf tournament to raise money for Bladen We Care. Mac Campbell has served on the board of directors since inception, and is currently the President of the board. We have countless employees that volunteer their time every year for this wonderful cause. Bladen We Care has helped to raise over $1.5 million to assist with health care needs in Bladen County.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading non-profit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases. It does so by funding worldwide research; by providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide; and by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement. Overall Minuteman has helped MDA by raising $27,141.98!
Boot Campaign for National Guard Families
Minuteman Food Mart is hosting our annual “Boot” program to support the NC National Guard Family Readiness Program starting September 15, 2014 until October 26, 2014. The Family Readiness Program helps families of National Guard troops. Currently there are approximately 5,000 Guard members deployed, and 800 are waiting to be deployed. These deployments have caused hardships for the families left behind. 100% of the funds from the Boot program go to the Family Readiness Group [501(c)(3) non-profit], which has no administrative costs, so all of the monies go to support the families in distress. This contribution is tax deductible. Please help us support this awesome cause!
